Bauwelt is the chief opinion leader among German architectural magazines. It is current, highly esteemed, self conscious, elitist, critical, intellectual, strict, purist, pithy - and its design was somewhat long in the tooth.
The new design was to keep the ‘purism’ beloved of its readers while at the same time taking into account new reading habits and generally improving Bauwelt as a brand.
The revitalisation of yellow as the brand colour represents the conceptual and visual profile of Bauwelt. While in the past it was used in a reserved manner, it is now the design focus that determines the structure of the publication.
